There’s No Future in Selling Cheap Merchandise is There?

I know you’ve shopped at a Dollar Store, who hasn’t? If you’re planning a party or a holiday, no doubt this is the best place to start with. It’s great for 4th of July parties and holidays for sure but not everything is that cheap. Many items are packed in smaller quantities and other things like baking soda is cheaper at Targets or Staples.

The point is that you ‘get what you get!’ I know that’s not brilliant, but many people don’t actually pay attention to what they get until they realize that it’s not what they thought! Unless you’re the Dollar Store and fueled by the customer who just wants’s really cheap. But what’s the future in this? I was in the REAL liquidation business 30 years ago. In my flooring and furniture business, I bought ALL BETTER merchandise and sold it at great prices. I bought short runs, extremely expensive carpets with holes and streaks, one of a kind, damaged expensive mattresses …with limited quantities–for real. real. It was a great business. The majority of my customers were smart and knew quality. Similar to a Nordstrom Rack or Marshall’s before anyone knew them.

WHY AM I TELLING YOU THIS? YOU NEED A NICHE, A PROFITABLE ONE. NOW MORE THAN EVER.  CHECK OUT MY VIDEO ON PRICE. 


Some business people believe all customers are profitable; it’s not so.
